The Essential Work of Headway Jersey
Headway Jersey plays a critical role in supporting individuals and families affected by brain injury. Their free services offer a comprehensive lifeline with a range of support, including:
- Neuro-physiotherapy: Helping individuals rebuild strength, coordination, confidence, and improve mobility.
- Family and carer support: Offering guidance and resources to those supporting loved ones through recovery.
- Focus groups: Creating a sense of community through engaging activities like quizzes, sewing sessions, and exercise classes.
These services provide hope, empowerment, connection, and help prevent isolation to those dealing with the lasting impact of brain injury. The dedicated team at Headway Jersey works tirelessly to deliver these life-changing programmes, but their ability to work efficiently was being hampered by outdated technology.
How we helped
We partnered with Entrust to provide Headway Jersey with two refurbished laptops. Entrust, a valued partner, kindly donated devices they no longer needed, which we wiped and refurbished to make them ready for Headway’s use.
Prior to this, the team at Headway Jersey faced significant challenges, relying on outdated devices that were not only slow but insufficient in number. Staff members often had to share equipment, making it difficult to provide seamless support and services. The donated laptops have now enabled the team to work more efficiently, ensuring they can dedicate their time and energy to the people who need them most.
These devices will enable them to deliver better care, stay connected with clients, and continue innovating the essential programmes that support those affected by brain injury.
