Introducing Kaveen De Silva, Resolution IT Dubai’s New Technician
Continuing with our ‘Meet the Team’ series, it’s time to get to know Kaveen, a Technician in our Dubai team.
The Resolution IT Dubai team has welcomed six new recruits to the team so far this year. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be getting to know them better! Last week, we spoke to Gilfred Bordallo, our Technician. You can read that here.
This week, it’s time to meet Kaveen.
Hi Kaveen, what’s your role at Resolution IT Dubai?
As an IT technician, my role revolves around addressing and resolving daily technical issues faced by clients. Whether it’s troubleshooting hardware problems, resolving software glitches, or answering queries, my day is packed with solving tickets and ensuring smooth technical operations. My goal is to provide efficient and effective support, helping clients navigate and overcome their everyday tech challenges with ease.
What’s your favourite part about working at Resolution IT?
Working at Resolution IT is a truly rewarding experience, primarily because of the incredible team I get to work with every day. The people here are not only friendly and supportive but also exceptionally dedicated. They consistently go out of their way to help each other, ensuring that everyone is on the right path and equipped to succeed. What stands out the most is the collective commitment to our clients. Every team member is driven by a shared goal: to provide the best possible service. Whether it’s resolving complex technical issues or offering guidance on simpler tasks, the entire team is ready to assist.
What did you do before working here?
Before joining Resolution IT, I gained diverse experience in the tech industry. I started as an Information Security Intern, where I developed my skills in protecting sensitive data. After a year, I transitioned to an IT Executive role, managing IT operations and ensuring smooth technological functioning. In addition to my hands-on experience, I earned a BSc in Computer Security from the University of Plymouth and have obtained Certifies such as CEH and AWS cloud practitioner.
Tell us a bit more about yourself!
When I’m not solving technical issues or assisting clients at Resolution IT, I immerse myself in various hobbies and adventures. A significant part of my downtime is spent diving into the exciting world of gaming – mostly AAA games. My all-time favourite game is Red Dead Redemption 2.
In addition to gaming, I am an avid binge-watcher of TV series and movies. From gripping dramas to light-hearted comedies and mind-bending sci-fi, I enjoy a wide range of genres.
Being new to Dubai has opened up a world of exploration and discovery. This dynamic city has so much to offer, and I’m eagerly exploring it with my friends. We enjoy seeking out new cafes, restaurants, and unique places of interest.
Kaveen has settled in really well and is already getting great feedback from our clients.
