Resolution IT’s Year in Review – 2024

By Resolution IT CEO, Olly Duquemin

2024 was an incredibly exciting year for all of us at Resolution IT. We reached significant milestones in each of our locations, welcomed new colleagues to our team, and celebrated lots of success. Before we wind down for the year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of this year’s highlights.

Our Company

The defining moment of our year came in April when we joined Zenzero.  Becoming part of a wider group has unlocked new opportunities for our team and allowed us to deliver additional and enhanced solutions to our clients, many of whom are already benefiting from these expanded capabilities. We’re excited to build on this momentum in 2025.

To introduce Zenzero’s expertise to our clients in the Channel Islands, we welcomed our new colleagues to Guernsey and Jersey. They showcased cutting-edge services, including pen testing and red teaming at the Channel Island Information Security Conference, and hosted tailored strategy workshops focusing on data and development.

In November, our teams from the Channel Islands and the UK came together at the Old Thorns Hotel and Resort for Zenzero Voyage. This inspiring event was a chance to collaborate, share ideas, and align with Zenzero’s vision and strategy while celebrating our collective achievements.

Our People

This year, we welcomed 18 talented new colleagues across Guernsey, Jersey, Dubai, and South Africa. Investing in learning and development remains a cornerstone of our approach, and our team earned 25 new certifications and completed 60 courses, further strengthening their skills and ability to deliver exceptional service. We’re also proud to celebrate seven well-deserved promotions—testament to the dedication and hard work of our people.

Of course, we also made time to connect, celebrate successes, and have fun, ensuring our culture remains vibrant and supportive.

Our Community

Community engagement continues to be at the heart of what we do. This year, we supported four charities: Guernsey Cheshire Home, Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation, Channel Island Air Search, and Headway Jersey. These organisations were selected based on nominations from our team and the wider community.

In an effort to make our engagement as impactful as possible, our support spanned financial donations, pro bono IT support, equipment donations, and collaboration. You can learn more about how we helped our charities here

In addition to this, we supported Citizen’s Advice Bureau with their move into a new office at Grow Ltd, providing free support and resource to ensure the technical aspects of the move went smoothly.

Our annual Channel Island Design Challenge continued this year, hosted in partnership with Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation. This is our favourite project of the year and it’s always a delight to see such creative entries flooding in. You can learn more about this challenge, and our support for PPBF, here.

We also continued our yearly tradition of field clearing at our sponsored National Trust site at Le Bigard in Guernsey. Our team spent an afternoon trimming hedges, pulling up stray bracken, and clearing brambles to ensure the field remains a beautiful space for the community to enjoy.

Our Places

This year marked two years of our Jersey offering and we’ve had some great successes during our time on the island. Welcoming new colleagues, onboarding new clients, and making a community impact.

In October, we sponsored the Channel Island Cyber Security Conference. Zenzero’s Naveen Kaushik and Abdul Ikbal presented on a successful commissioned hack of a leading international bank. You can watch that here.

Our Dubai team moved into a brilliant new office space and welcomed 6 new members to the team. We also welcomed new teammates in South Africa who can support our clients out of hours and work from the Zenzero Cape Town office.

Conclusion

I’ll wrap this up by extending my heartfelt thanks to our incredible team for their dedication and hard work, and to our clients for their continued trust and partnership. Together, we’ve made this a truly exceptional year, and I’m excited to see what 2025 has in store for us all.
