A look back on the last year at Resolution IT

2022 was a big year for us at Resolution IT. Looking back at all our milestones, it’s amazing to think it all happened within the space of 12 months. We’ve selected a few of our favourite bits for our ‘year in review’ Resolution Recap.

Starting with some milestones that we couldn’t have hit without our brilliant team and loyal clients: our award wins. We won Network Group Award’s MSP of the Year, Channel Futures’ MSP 501 and the ConnectWise WISE Award Partner of the Year EMEA. We were so delighted to win each of these awards and this recognition truly is a testament to the people that make Resolution IT great.

Speaking of great people, we had some well-deserved promotions throughout 2022, starting with Ollie Le Prevost’s elevation to Head of Cloud Solutions. We formed a dedicated cloud solutions team at the beginning of the year to focus on meeting the increased demand for highly available, secure and reliable cloud technology for our clients.

Shortly afterwards, Brad Staples and David Cusack were promoted to Senior Technician and Jon Warr to Deputy Head of Managed Services.

Later in the year, we saw Todd Priaulx elevated to Managed Services Consultant, Nick Girauld and Luke Corbin promoted to Technician Leads, Dan Ridley to Senior Technician, and Joe Wilkinson and Tove Barnes to Managers in their respective departments; Customer Success and Marketing.

And as for new joiners, we had plenty in 2022 – 13 in fact! We were delighted to welcome Lars De Garis, Martyn Bougourd, Dan Ridley, Todd Priaulx, Calum Clark, Jack Thompson, Becca Johns-Ogier, Jack Migasiuk, Joshua Upson, Nick Saunders, Elliott Nock, Patrick Dino and Ben-Hur Yutuc to the team, some in Guernsey and some working remotely from the UK and Dubai.

Our team got busy with lots of community projects in 2022, from pulling sour fig from Fort Le Marchant with Guernsey Conservation Volunteers and volunteering with the GSPCA, to taking on a field at Le Bigard to maintain for the National Trust.

Another big project was the Design a Gadget Competition that we hosted for children in years 3-6 in partnership with the Digital Greenhouse. We loved this project and you can read more about it here.

Entertainment-wise, we attended and hosted some brilliant events throughout the year. Our Directors attended the Managed Services Summit in London, our Cloud team attended the European Cloud Summit in Frankfurt, our Security team attended the Cert.je cyber awareness month panel in Jersey, and Olly and Steve went to IT Nation in Florida. Each of these events provided invaluable opportunities to network with leaders in the industry and learn some brilliant tech-world insights to better serve our clients.

Moving onto events we hosted ourselves, we certainly know how to have fun at Resolution IT. With not one, but two brilliant Christmas parties (thanks to Covid cancellations in 2021!), our summer BBQ, a Peaky Blinders casino night and plenty of other socials peppered throughout the year, we had lots of opportunities to unwind and spend time with the team outside of the office.

And last but not least, let’s not forget that 2022 was our 15^th year! We’d like to thank each of our valued clients and dedicated team for helping us to reach this milestone. Looking to the year ahead, we hope it’s another great year for Resolution IT, particularly as we expand into the Jersey market with our new office opening this month.
