Values Spotlight: Commitment

Over the past year, the team at Resolution IT have been taking part in sessions to discover our values, to learn what is important to each of us as individuals.

With the significant growth we’ve seen over the last few years, we thought it was important to reassess and redefine our company values, to ensure they best represent us as a whole. It was great to uncover that as a collective, the things we find most important are well aligned.

With that in mind, the new values that encapsulate Resolution IT both as a company and as a community, are as follows; Passion, Commitment, Excellence, Integrity and Respect.

We asked our Senior Leadership Team to speak on our company values. First up, we have Debbie Exall, Senior Business Support Manager, on what Commitment means to her.

“Commitment to me personally means turning up to work every day (whether that’s in-person or remotely) and doing the very best that I can. That includes not only doing right by myself but also to clients, colleagues and the wider community.

It’s important to me that I’m seen as a team player and I like to surround myself with like-minded colleagues. So whether it’s Frances always searching for the very best deals for our clients or Amy turning up on time each day with a cheery, can-do attitude, it’s vital to me that my colleagues feel committed. If someone in my team, or the wider company isn’t, then I want to know why and want to help them.

None of us are perfect and we don’t always get it right but by having shared commitment, we can learn and develop as individuals, as teams and as a company.

I think when, like me, you feel a sense of empowerment about your job and you know you are valued and appreciated, then commitment naturally follows. Your job then becomes so much more than a monthly salary – although that’s obviously important! In the 8 years I’ve been at Resolution IT, I have felt listened to and valued and have been given responsibility and accountability within my role. That’s a great feeling and one which drives me to commit to bringing the best version of myself to work each day.”
