After an independent accreditation process, we are delighted to have received the Community Champion Award from ESI (Environmental Social Impact) Monitor.
Designed to demonstrate a business’ commitment to the community they operate in, it benchmarks a business in terms of financial, time and in-kind donations, against other businesses in their own industry.
Pierre Jehan, our Client Services Director and a member of our Community & Environment Committee said: ‘We’re really pleased to receive the Community Champion Award. We’ve always been keen to offer our IT expertise where we can; in the last year alone, we’ve built an app to ease the administrative burden of the daily delivery over 500 Meals on Wheels, provided free IT training for charities during lockdown and supported the #StayConnected initiative by wiping clean and resetting used iPad for elderly and vulnerable islanders.
‘We offer assistance right across the Bailiwick where we can and in the last year have helped Herm furnish its new community hall and held a raffle to help Sark Dairy Trust in its fundraising drive. In Guernsey we continue to sponsor, support and volunteer across a broad range of community and social initiatives: this year we are supporting as many Guernsey Conservation Volunteers projects as we can, assisting this past weekend with our second sour fig clearance, this time at Port Soif. As a staff of over 50 and growing, we are committed to making sure our community support grows in tandem.’
