Resolution IT Guernsey Donates a Van to Guernsey Jumbulance Holidays Following Van Rental Complications
Last month, Resolution IT was delighted to support Guernsey Jumbulance Holidays, an incredible charity in Guernsey that provides unforgettable trips for people with extra care needs.
Guernsey Jumbulance Holidays organised a fantastic week-long getaway to Tiverton in Devon for 11 VIPs (this is what they call the people they take on holiday) aged between 24 and 95. These individuals, who often face travel challenges, were accompanied by caring nurses and experienced caregivers who gave up their time to make this adventure possible.
For some of these VIPs, this was their very first time leaving the island, which was hugely exciting for them. The trip also provides an important break to the carers at home.
Unfortunately, shortly before the trip was due to begin, the van Guernsey Jumbulance Holidays had rented to transport all the essential equipment suddenly became unavailable because the rental company went out of business. They urgently needed a solution and put out a plea for help.
Resolution IT stepped in and donated one of their company vans to transport the specially adapted beds and lifting equipment required for our VIPS. A second van was kindly donated by Josh Gabriel. Without these vans, the trip wouldn’t have been possible.
