Resolution IT Design Challenge 2024

Resolution IT has Partnered with Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation for its Third Annual Design Challenge

Resolution IT launched its third annual design challenge in March, a competition open to children across the Channel Islands in years 3-6. This year, the company has partnered with one of its chosen 2024 charities; Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation (PPBF), on a special project that will benefit from this competition.

PPBF runs 3 apartments next to Southampton Hospital; Aggie’s Burrow, Isaac’s Pad and Frankie’s Den for island families to stay in if their child is receiving specialist off-island care.

The overall winners of this year’s design competition, one from Jersey and one from Guernsey, will have their designs made into two special pieces of LEGO artwork for an exciting project in one of PPBF’s newest flats.

The theme for the design challenge is ‘Transport of the Future’, so students are encouraged to get their imaginations going and come up with an innovative form of futuristic transport that inspires and excites the judges – the wilder the idea, the better.

As with previous years, Resolution IT will be providing generous prizes to the competition winners and runners up, as well as a £500 donation to the two schools with the highest percentage of entries, one in the Bailiwick of Guernsey and one in Jersey. The competition has also received generous support from platinum sponsor Plainsail, and prize sponsors; Clicksmith, Fort, Agilisys, Entrust and Aladdin’s Cave.

Tove Barnes, Resolution IT’s Brand and Marketing Manager, said:

“This competition is our favourite campaign of the year by far. It’s always exciting to see the children’s ideas – their creativity never fails to impress us. We’re delighted to be partnering with PPBF this year, meaning the competition not only benefits schools and students, but an important Channel Island charity too. We look forward to seeing what our entrants come up with and we can’t wait to see the two winning artists’ work come to life in the form of LEGO wall art!”

Jo Priaulx, PPBF Co-Founder, said:

“The PPBF is dedicated to the youngest members of the Island community, so we are delighted to be involved in Resolution IT’s competition as it celebrates the creativity of local school children. The winning piece will be displayed in one of our Southampton-based flats, and we’ll be sharing more on this soon; lots of special things have been happening behind the scenes. A big thank you to Resolution IT for bringing us along on a fun and imaginative journey.”

The deadline for entries is Friday 17th May.
